DEE GODDESSA
Dee Goddessa is an author and creator exploring identity, reinvention, and what it means to consciously design your own life.
Born in Britain, raised in America, and now living in the UK again, Dee brings a distinctly British American perspective to conversations about womanhood, motherhood, relationships, self-trust, ambition, money, friendship, travel, aging, beauty, faith, independence, happiness, and starting over.
Her work is rooted in lived experience—not in having all the answers, but in being willing to question the ones she once had. She is interested in the beliefs we inherit, the identities we build around survival and expectation, the things we eventually outgrow, and what becomes possible when we trust ourselves enough to choose differently.
Long before her work became public, Dee's understanding of people was shaped both academically and professionally. She holds an associate degree in Human Services and a bachelor's degree in Psychology, along with certifications in Life Coaching and Youth Mental Health.
Her professional background includes extensive work with youth, children, and vulnerable populations, including individuals impacted by homelessness, substance use, and domestic violence. Those experiences gave her an understanding of resilience, identity, human behavio, and the complexities of rebuilding a life that extends far beyond theory.
Dee's public voice first emerged through media. She built a career in radio, where her ability to connect authentically with audiences earned her recognition as Most Inspirational Media Personality. She later expanded into television, hosting programs and leading conversations about real life, relationships, culture, and the experiences that shape who we become.
Public speaking followed naturally, taking her from broadcast conversations to live engagements, panels, interviews, and keynote presentations. She has also coached others in public speaking, helping them develop greater confidence, authenticity, and presence in their own voices.
Creativity has been another constant throughout Dee's life. Her background includes fashion, creative direction, producing fashion shows, and developing visual experiences. Today, that creative instinct extends across writing, digital media, content, speaking, and the growing world she is building around Dee Goddessa.
Her life across Britain and America, along with her experiences traveling and engaging with different cultures, has also shaped the way she sees the world. She is fascinated by both what makes our experiences different and the questions that follow us across cultures: Who am I? What do I believe? What do I want? What have I inherited? What have I outgrown? And what am I willing to choose for myself?
Motherhood has been one of the most defining lenses through which Dee has explored those questions. Her experiences as a woman, mother, author, entrepreneur, creative, and someone who has had to begin again have made her increasingly interested not simply in surviving difficult chapters, but in what comes after them.
Her memoir, God's Favorite Mess: Remembering Who I Am, documents part of that journey. The title reflects a life that moved through difficulty, uncertainty, loss, and change while remaining guided and protected. It is a reminder that the complicated parts of a life do not have to be erased for that life to have meaning.
The mess was not the end of the story.
It was part of it.
If God's Favorite Mess tells the story of remembering who she is, The Second Version explores what happens next.
Created by Dee, The Second Version: Same Woman. Different Life. is an evolving body of work about what happens when the way you used to live, think, choose, or see yourself no longer fits. It is not about erasing the woman you were or pretending that everything about your old life was wrong. It is about deciding what comes with you, what stays behind, and how you want to live now.
Through The Second Version and her broader work, Dee explores the many places where a woman's relationship with herself shows up—from motherhood, relationships, boundaries, self-worth, and self-trust to money, ambition, career, friendship, travel, aging, beauty, style, faith, dating, home, independence, and happiness.
Today, Dee writes, speaks, creates, and shares her life and ideas across media and digital platforms. Her work moves between the deeply personal and the everyday: the serious realizations, the uncomfortable questions, the bold opinions, the cultural observations, the solo adventures, the laughter, and the ordinary choices that can quietly change the direction of a life.
She is not interested in presenting herself as a woman who has figured everything out.
She is interested in exploring what happens when a woman knows herself well enough to question what no longer fits, trusts herself enough to choose differently, and gives herself permission to build something new.
Because starting over is not always about becoming someone else.
Sometimes it is about finally deciding how you want to live.
“You are allowed to design your life.”
